Real Brid may have been absent from the National Cup final for the first time in a while, but there certainly wasn’t an unfamiliarity about the two teams on show. Harchester United and Knights of the Spring now hold 4 National Cup title between them, and it was Harchester who levelled the head-to-head thanks to a dominant performance in which they did everything but score a hat-full of goals. In the end a single goal from Michel Brenner was enough to edge Harchester to the trophy and the 1-0 scoreline was flattering to the Knights who simply couldn’t make headway.

Iffley strike gold once again

Lance Pearce scored twice to fire Iffley Flanuers to their 3rd U18 National Cup at the expense of the infamous Egg Chasers FC, it will probably be of scant consolation once again though to the EPL title hopefuls as the biggest prize once again slips from grasp.

U23’s is by invite only

The U23 National Cup is becoming somewhat of a closed shop, Warrington Town F.C
claimed their 4th title with a 2-1 victory over Boscombe to put them level with their opponents and Knights of the Spring. Remarkably those 3 teams have claimed 12 of the last 13 U23 titles.  Esbjörn Törnblom put Boscombe ahead early in the game. They subsequently had Trev Pope sent off with half an hour to play. Boscombe looked to have held on but Samuel Mortimer levelled with just a minute to play. Boscombe hearts were then broken when Sean Storry snatched victory from the jaws of defeat for Warrington with the very last kick of the game in the 95th minute.

Iffley do the Double

Maybe there is a bright future for Iffley beyond Emile Zola, Dom Knight and Alex Jones score at either end of the game to seal a 2-0 victory against Cyclops (older players may remember remember the manager from Deez Hot Nutz). The victory sealed the first in an U18/U21 Youth double for Iffley.
